Patent Wars

Ending Software Patent Petition

If you think that Software Patents in the US have gone completely out of control, please sign this petition. Companies are no longer innovating but are buying up patents that represent ideas that have never been implemented. These companies actions are stifling competition and are ultimately causing us the consumer to pay more for products.

Competition and innovation are vital to the technology sector. Without these two key components we begin to see businesses utilizing their monopolies. This topic is important to me because I am not necessarily a geek like I once was but I am definitely an enthusiast. I find this equally important because these are some of the components that lead Apple/ Steve Jobs to revolutionize the PC and without these components, we will never see another Steve Jobs or product that changes the entire spectrum in how we communicate with one another.

BTW, RIP Steve! You were an inspiration to millions across the world and I pray that you found peace! Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family/ friends of Jobs.

End of the Golden Mac Age…

Hosted By: Picasa Web Albums Don’t get me wrong, I love my Macbook Pro. This is not a post bashing Apple, just an informative one, hopefully. In fact Apple’s have been my primary computers besides my Ubuntu box (I use it as a Media PC). Anyways back before we decided to buy my sister a netbook, I had given her the first mac I ever purchased! I bought it in 2005 after saving up about six months for it. I bought a one year old iMac G4 1.25 gigahertz computer from a girl in Chapel Hill, who was selling it to buy an iBook. Needless to say since I bought my next Mac in 2008, I faded out the use of my beloved iMac G4. I wanted my sister to get familiar with macs, so I had decided to give her this iMac. Well after taking good care of it, my old iMac was eventually bit with a bug! My MAC managed to get infected with malware! It was running the latest version of Tiger, but I’m afraid the days of Mac becoming more of a target for hackers are slowing drawing near. *Now I have her running Ubuntu on her netbook* \(^o^)/ But hopefully this little mishap will help anyone out there that is having the same problem. This Tatooodle thing is NOT Google, I searched for it on the web and its a browser hijacker.

Tastes Like Chicken!

Hosted By Picasa Web Albums I journeyed to the Korean market this past weekend and I stumbled across these lil Korean snacks down the junk food aisle! lol Anyways I thought judging from the box, that these chicken bites would be mostly a gimick. But they actually taste like fried chicken! All they consist of is fried batter and some kind of chicken flavoring I guess, but they actually were very good! This is going to be a quick post and I just mostly wanted to share this silly picture with you all! Stay tuned because I have some videos I want to share from the Journey concert! I’ll keep you posted! By the way, that concert was amazing!!!!!

Sailor Mars

Hosted By: Picasa Web Albums I was sorting through my a lot of my pictures this morning and I stumbled across some more images that I failed to upload. I have a tendency to leave all of my images or video files on my cards, just in case if my computer’s hard drive dies. Anyways this image is for a good friend of mine and a regular reader here on my blog. I know he will enjoy this picture because he is a big-time fan of Sailor Moon and more importantly Sailor Mars. I took this picture back during the Animazement Convention in Raleigh and I would have to agree with Jimmy that this girl makes a really cute Sailor Mars 😛 Anyways I was never a big fan of Sailor Moon, but apparently it has a wide following with males!! So I hope you enjoy the picture/ post Jimmy!

Prayers Go Out To London

•August 9, 2011 • Leave a Comment

I have been following the news closely for the last couple of days and its hard to avoid this catastrophe happening in London, England. I do not live in England and I have never been to England, but I just wanted to let all you Brits know that we here in the USA are praying for you. It must be difficult to loose buildings/ businesses that have been around forever. Not only that but loosing your livelihood, I am sure that is equally as painful. I think its time that you the honest hard working Brits start taking control also, don’t let these people who are against the British way of life dictate how the world sees Britain. God bless you all and our prayers/ thoughts go out to you all.

Summer School Update

•August 8, 2011 • Leave a Comment

This has been the busiest and stupidest summer yet! I have been doing summer school this whole summer because I am trying to get somewhat ahead in my major. Especially after FSU has neglected to tell me so many things that are required for my graduation date. But whatever, I’m going to keep pushing.

Usually I am in China over the summer break and this is the first summer in three years that I have not traveled to China. I am a little homesick even though its not even my home country! LoL But I have taken three classes this summer, an EDUC 330, 340 class along with NISC 120. I have passed two of the three classes as of right now, and I will find out the last result sometime this week! The one class that I have been worried about is my Biology class which was a sixteen week class crammed into four weeks! I would not recommend this class to anyone, without the help of the Lord and sacrificing all my free time this summer, I’ve managed to pass with a B! I am super ecstatic and I am looking forward to enjoying the last ten days of my summer break! I am definitely going to be updating more often and I’ll see everyone next post!

My family and I traveled to Wilmington this past Saturday just to get away from Fayetteville for a while. Anyways we had a great time just wasting time and having fun. As we were fiddling around we stumbled across a World Market, this was the first time I had ever seen a World Market. I thought this was a really cool store and I really liked some Thai bedroom furniture that was inside. But judging from the price I figured I could buy it cheaper in Thailand and ship it to my future home in Hong Kong than buying it in there! LoL Anyways I found some German chocolate inside World Market and this stuff was really good. If any of you get the chance to try it, I would highly recommend this chocolate. It is called Kinder Riegel. This chocolate is a little rich, but it comes in small bars so I think its good!

Une Enfant du Siècle

•June 17, 2011 • 1 Comment

Today I was searching through some of my old CDs and I found two Cds by one of my favorite French artists. I think some of you might remember an older post on my blog entitled Alizee! Last year I actually purchased her then new album called “Une Enfant du Siècle”, but since then I have long forgotten about it. So when I saw the CD, I was excited and popped it in my CD player. It brought back a lot of nice memories and I just wanted to share a couple of the songs with you all! The youtube video above is of her somewhat recent single, whereas her song below is from the CD I mentioned previously on my blog. I hope you all enjoy! I found both of her albums on Amazon and eBay, so if your interested in purchasing them I think thats your best bet!
