But I’ll have to upload the pictures while I get home and what I’ll do is do some blogs like twice a week on different things in HK and China! I’m sad to leave this Sunday! Well I’ll talk to you all later! 😛

FireFox 3!
•June 19, 2008 • Leave a Commentwell I’ve actually had a few days to play around with Firefox 3! and first look it’s absolutely amazing looking on the mac. It’s done with a nice cocoa interface and a lot of translucent dropdowns. Upgrading was not an issue from Firefox 2 and it hasn’t crashed for me yet. Firefox 3 was just released on Tuesday and the people at Mozilla even had a special event for the occassion. They wanted to break the world record for most downloads across the globe in 24 hours. There has not been any word back from the guiness world record folks but it could be that the Mozilla corps actually broke the record. I’m not sure what the current record is but Firefox was downloaded by over 8 million people in the first 24hrs of it’s release. If you would like to check out the map of what countries downloaded Firefox check out http://www.spreadfirefox.com/en-US/worldrecord/. I thought it was cool to look at how the rest of the world loves Firefox! Oh and one last technical note. Most of my extensions worked with Firefox 3, the only ones that didn’t see to work well were the themes. But this user interface looks very stylish already, so I won’t be needing any other themes. So everyone switch to Firefox 3 and ditch that lame old I.E! Check Firefox out at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/?from=getfirefox
WWDC Let Down…
•June 12, 2008 • Leave a Commentok so Steve Job totally disappointed me on Monday at WWDC. I’ve watched most of the conference, but I was following @Fittorrent on Twitter during WWDC. The main focused of this conference seemed to be the iPhone… Well yes there was a lot of nice features that Apple is releasing with the 3G iPhone, but I was hoping for a 10inch tablet or something on those lines. I was really hoping for something new and a little more exciting than the iPhone update.
Well MobileMe is actually a nice update to .Mac. It really needed an update because personally I think it’s a waste of money! lol But I’m glad they bumped up the storage space and it seems a little more useful as in the sense of everything being able to talk to it easily. But MobileMe is kind of a lame name lol!
And I didn’t hear almost nothing on SnowLeopard!!! Except that it seems to be focusing on stability and security. I want to see it, but Apple did not put it in with the keynote of WWDC on their site! But I’m assuming it’s probably going to look the same and not too many impressive features are going to ship with it. But of course thats just my speculation. If you look at the OS X updates, I think the only impressive one lately was Leopard. Only because that added some under the hood features that are really going to benefit power users.
The Format Wars Continue?
•June 10, 2008 • 1 CommentFirst off I’d like to say, no this entry is not about HD-DVD and Blu-Ray. That was like ages ago! Today the Format Wars pertain to something that everyone probably has gone through at least once in their lives, not being able to open a .doc file in anything except Microsoft Word! I believe that the business community has fallen into the trap of thinking everyone has Microsoft Word or Office. If we look at the web, the two primary formats that I see for documents are either Microsoft’s .doc format or Adobe’s .pdf format. Isn’t there some kind of standard that everyone can read? Well for the moment the .pdf(portable document format) is probably the best at delivering information. But Microsoft has all been about their proprietary format which is the .doc file. That has been one of the major selling points of Microsoft Office and in order for them to stay on top of their game Microsoft recently changed their format to .docx in Office 2007. There are convertors that can read this format for older versions of Word or other word processors, but if you do not have one of these convertors, you’re out of luck. Well recently there has been a large amount of interest in coming to one standard format. So as of the next version of Microsoft Office they will be releasing it with .odf, which was first introduced by the open source community. .odf actually stands for open document format (at least that’s what I believe). One of the major points is that by default it will write your documents as an .odf file. I think this is a very wise decision, because not everyone wants to shell out $150-$300 for Microsoft Office. So praise God for the open source community!
This is Not Christianity
•May 30, 2008 • 1 Commentok I’m going to be very frank and honest with this post. Every-time I hear Reverend Wright speak (Obama’s pastor) I become infuriated. This is both a disgraced to Christianity and the African American population. Let me elaborate.Â
First off. I don’t care what nationality you are, if your claiming God as your Saviour and preaching the complete opposite of His teachings, you should be throw out of the pulpit. All you are doing is raising up a generation that is destined for damnation. This man is blaspheming against the name of God and preaching segregation. He is bringing damnation to the God he so call serves! God**** America. This is completely unacceptable and the Christian majority should kick him out of his church.
He’s also spreading a major gap between African Americans and the Caucasian American populations. The Bible teaches that we are all equal in the eyes of God. There is no difference between what color you are. Remember the song we used to sing? Red, yellow, black or white- we are precious in His sight! This pastor must of never heard of this classic Christian hymn. All he is doing is painting the African American population a negative color along with the Christian population.  This just gives a non-believer another reason to dismiss Christianity.Â
Finally I have several African American friends that are pastors. I’ve attended several African churches and they have been very acceptive of myself. They were very welcoming and friendly. I think pastor reverend wright is a disgraced to all African Americans that stand for God.Â
Reverend Wright or any of your followers. Don’t ever associate yourself with God again, unless you change your theology to one that is Biblically sound and that glorifies God. I don’t condone your adaptation to the Faith. I am praying that God will reveal Himself to you and make Himself apparent in your life.Â

Not So Wise Eh?
•May 9, 2008 • Leave a CommentOk So I actually read this post a while back and I saved it on my wordpress account. So if you see the date on the BBC’s URL you’ll see it’s like a week old or older I think. Well I was checking out the latest news about Burma back when it first got hit… Be praying and supporting these people if you can by the way. But after I read some news updates on the situation, my eyes spotted this story. Well this story was very funny but extremely disturbing. A Japanese employer was caught surfing some naughty sites after a virus attacked his work computer. So first off the number of porn sites he visited was 780,000 different sites! What the heck! I could not even believe that and see this is just another reason why you shouldn’t be visiting those distasteful sites! You’ll get a virus and your boss will scan your browsing history to find out how you got the virus! So anyways check out this link at the BBC on more about this weird amusing story. lol
