this is a another Japanese show that has completely caught my attention. It only has 11 episode’s and I think it’s been out for a while. This TV show is about Akihabara which is a rising Otaku in Japan! Anyways the show is about hackers, musicians, waitresses, cos-players, and a designer. The show starts off with a group of kids that are trying to meet Yui. Yui is a girl that is famous on the World Wide Web. She’s sort of a psychologist that assists people over the web. Anyways the team is trying their best to meet up with Yui and when they finally met her she passes out! Unfortunately she died of a drug overdose… So the team decides to take her place and help others using the technology that their good at. This show is very weird and funny. This show is very geeky, so if your a Japanese fanatic and a geek you’ll love this show! You can find it on http://silentregrets.com. Then just search for Akihabara@Deep. You’ll love it.
That British Comic Duo
•April 29, 2008 • 1 Comment“That Mitchell and Webb Sound”. This show consists of two British comedians. Actually the best place people would probably know them from England’s Apple commercials. Except the commercials are definitely not their best material. Anyways “That Mitchell and Webb Sound” is actually a show that can be found on Audible. If you would like to watch them then check out the BBC and BBCAmerica the show is called “That Mitchell and Webb Look”. You can check the listings at the BBC’s website BBCAmerica. Not only do they have this show but they have another show called “Peep Show”. I’ve never seen this show because I have only recently come to enjoy this dynamic duo, but I have seen different previews for the show when it was first coming out. This show I believe is in the 3rd or 4th season. Anyways they are a great source of laughs and I think if your a big fan of british comedy you’ll love them. Especially if you are a fan of the Monty Python skits. Well check them out and I’ve found a lot of their stuff on Youtube.
Hannah Montana Let Down?
•April 28, 2008 • Leave a Commentok so some of you might not know but the star of Hannah Montana is Miley Cypress. I’ve never watched the show and I didn’t even know who she was until this recent scandel. Well I’ve only deciding on writing about this issue because I know a lot of younger children that are interested in her and her show. Well this chick let some iffy pictures be released on the internet. I checked out the pictures (which are easy to find on the web) and come on! I don’t see nothing wrong with them at all. Except the one with her bra exposed. But she was not flashing the camera like some newscasts stated. She was wearing a tank top and you could see her bra. But deal, you see it on the streets all the time. Whereas the other pictures are just of her with her dude and she’s lying next to him. You can see a little bit of her stomach. Well if you go to the beach, you will be exposed to a lot more! All I’m trying to say is that this is a load of crap and they need to leave the chick alone at least with this issue. Now with the Magazine Cover I think it was a bad move but at least she decided not to publish it. But if you want more coverage on the matter check out MSN News. I really hate how the media makes things into such a friggin big deal. I’m sure we’re going to see a YouTube video of LEAVE MILEY ALONE!!! lol
What Happened to my WIFI!!
•April 24, 2008 • 1 Commentwell I’ve posted before I have a belkin wireless N router. Well it totally sucks, I think I got a real bad lemon. I no longer can connect via wireless. I have to either connect via ethernet or well thats all I can do lol! I had to buy a really long ethernet cable in order to even get online! It’s a 25 ft ethernet cable and it’s linned up for the most part along my walls. lol! having no internet really sucks but I have not had time lately to get it fixed yet. But I just wanted to give a shoutout to Belkin for hijacking my WIFI signal lol!!! I’ve tried every channel availible and I even tried disabling my hardware firewall. Except I ain’t going to be turning that off for long. I do have a Windows machine on the network you know! Anyways has anyone else had a problem with Belkin stuff? Because I also have a N USB stick and it won’t work with Linux! So I’ve been pretty disappointed with them. I probably should of stuck with Linksys. well anyways it’s late and I’ll catch everyone later!
Windows Vista
•April 19, 2008 • Leave a Commenthey everyone! Yes… I did it. I have finally re-installed Vista Home Premium. I think SP1 is out now so I’m hoping the previous problems I had will be solved. Also I have a 2 gigahertz Dual Core Processor. I have almost 3 gigs of RAM in my machine. a 256 megabyte PCI-E video card. I also have 2 200 gig HDs inside it. Just within starting up Vista it’s using about 10% of my resources. I think thats pretty insane. Plus my audio card is not working and Vista Home Premium is only utilizing probably 45% of my video card. I’m updating it now and it’s going to take a while on a 1.5 mbps connection.
The only reason I installed Vista is because I was running XP Pro before. Well I want to use my XP Pro copy on my Macbook. It won’t take up the resources like Vista. I’m going to install XP Pro with Bootcamp and then use VMware to use it within OS X. That way if I decide to dedicate the whole laptop to XP Pro I can or I can use the partition inside OS X.
WordPress Site Down?
•April 17, 2008 • Leave a CommentI’ve been trying to log into my WordPress account almost all day. Was WordPress doing some updates or something? I just thought it was unusual because I’ve been using WordPress for a while and I’ve never experienced something like this today. I could go to the main page but then once I signed in, the Could Not Found Website page came up. So any thoughts? or was it just me? I’m just curious…
Nihao Kilan
•April 16, 2008 • Leave a Commenti was flipping through the channels the other day and I was reading the titles of the programs. After I was surfing for awhile i noticed the word “Nihao”! Well thats about all the Chinese that I know other than Thank You and What Are You Doing Tomorrow. But anyways I flipped back and it was on Nickelodeon! I was really surprised but I thought it was cool. For teaching children Spanish they have “Dora the Explorer” and now to teach children Chinese they have “Nihao Kilan”. This is going to be a major language to know, especially in the next decade, I guarantee it. I actually watched half of the show and I thought it was a pretty good show. There were only a couple of Chinese words but you got to expose them somehow to Chinese. Now I don’t care to watch it again but I do think it’s a great idea. China is becoming a major power piece within world economics. I also found this interesting because I have decided on taking Mandarin next year at Fayetteville State University. They are going to be offering a minor in Chinese and I am going for that. But no worries I will continue to study Korean! 🙂
Dear Lord
•April 13, 2008 • 1 Commentafter watching this Human Footprint special, I am realizing that just one person has a giant impact on the earth! we consume so much… but I’d like to see the statics on the entire world. because even though the US does it’s share, I know we aren’t the only ones. We need to look at better ways of saving resources. I think we as a nation need to look at ways of conserving energy and what not. I mean if we look at Japan or Korea we see they have a pretty advance train system or they walk! Owning a car is less common in Japan or Korea, so maybe we need to adapt this concept. What do you all think? This is just a quick post on what I’m thinking about :P. But I want to hear your thoughts
Enviromentally Awareness
•April 12, 2008 • 2 Commentshey everyone! first off I’d just like to say I don’t necessarily believe all of this global warming crap. But I do think we should do the best to take care of our planet. We should be good stewards of what we’re blessed with. So within saying this, there is a National Geographic special coming on tomorrow. *April 13, 2008*. This special is called “Human Footprint”. This will be premiering 9pm et & pt time. I’ve actually been interested in seeing this special since the first time I saw it about three weeks ago. It’s a fascinating subject. The special is going to mention things like how much the average human consumes to exist. I mean haven’t you thought of how many resources you’ll go through in your lifetime. Or how much food you’ll consume in your lifetime? It amazes me every time I think of it. I encourage you to watch this special and meditate heavily on what you can do throughout your lifespan to lighten your carbon footprint.

Macbook Air Rival?
•April 11, 2008 • Leave a Comment
This is a commercial for the Samsung Sens Q30 laptop. I was actually very impressed with this compact laptop. Except I think the Q40 is it’s updated companion. The commercial is done by one of my favorite Korean actresses, 임수정 *Im Soo Jung*. The only thing I hate about it is that it is only available in Korea. This laptop would probably give the Macbook Air a run for it’s money. Even though this laptop runs Windows I think it would be even better to run Ubuntu. I’d definitely purchase this laptop somehow if you could get it with Linux. This laptop includes a DVD-ROM drive! which is already better than the Macbook Air. The hard drive is pretty small *40gig* and it only has 512 megs of RAM. For a detailed list on the specs check out Samsung Specs This is another reason why I think this laptop would be perfect for Linux. And I’ve recently been thinking of why we need so much power in a laptop unless your a gamer, video editor, or something on those lines. Even myself with a Macbook laptop with 2 gigs of RAM and a 100 gig HD I don’t think it’s necessary for what I need a laptop to do. I much rather have a Desktop Powerhorse and something more portable for a laptop.
